Please join us for an Open House at Whittle School & Studios. We will have presentations by our school leaders and faculty on our curriculum, activities for students and families, and refreshments. The event will start at 1:00 PM.

Reggio Inspired STEM: The Digital Landscape Atelier
The Digital Landscape Atelier (interactive workshop) is a transformation of light.  Children are invited to investigate light, shadows, reflection, and refraction in a digitally simulated landscape in three-dimensional space. In the Digital Landscape, children use joyful and purposeful play and exploration to experiment with STEM concepts the Reggio way.
(Recommended for children ages 8 and below)

Code with KIBO! Robotics for Early Learners

Students will explore, play, and learn about foundational technology and engineering concepts through STEM activities such as KIBO Robots. Using sensors, outputs, lights, and motors, children will perform coding tasks to build and program their own robot creations. Children will love using their creative and critical thinking skills, imagination, and curiosity in this hands-on, active programming and robotics experience.
(Recommended for children ages 8 and below)

Lantern Watercolor Painting and Calligraphy

Using watercolors as a medium, children will paint lanterns to celebrate the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival on February 19th. The Lantern Festival marks the final day of the Lunar New Year celebrations. Children will create Chinese characters using calligraphy and will learn how to say Chinese phrases to wish others good luck for the new year.

(Recommended for children of all ages)


Scribbling Machines!
Try your hand at making a scribbling machine out of simple materials. Experiment with different variables and use your creativity to combine high tech and low tech to create unexpected and surprising artwork, all while learning about science, design, and engineering!
(Recommended for children
ages 10 and above)
