Open House Event

Enrolled students had the chance to practice Chinese characters in celebration of Chinese New Year.

On February 10, Whittle School & Studios hosted an open house for the community. There were many exciting activities for students, such as exploring light and shadows in a digital landscape, constructing spaces using giant magnatiles, exploring physics using ramps, and investigating circuitry by creating scribble bots with simple motors.

Connected with the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival, students also enjoyed painting their own unique Chinese lanterns using watercolors. They learned Chinese characters and  phrases that are meant to bring good luck—a fun and engaging way to learn about another culture in relation to their own.
